Everybody knows that memorize words it´s boring but, if you see a picture is easier to remember.
In this activity, pupils have to paint all the pictures about different animals.Later, they will cut all of them and the names
of that ones. And finally, they will have to stick each picture with his name
in their notebooks.
LEVEL: 2nd Primary.
Next I attach the pictures and the names.
COW PIG HEN CAT DOG
HORSE RABBIT SHEEP
Hello Silvia!
ResponderEliminarThat's a nice activity because they practice different skills, not just the language ones but also the creative ones. I really like that you said the level which this activity is directed to. As you said, memorising vocabulary can be boring but it is better for children and more motivating to do it with pictures and at the same time doing activities that they really like, such as painting or cutting. Well done!

In my opinion is a simple activity in which only get the child to learn vocabulary. I had used with younger children as they color and cut is too easy for students in second grade.
ResponderEliminarHello! Silvia, I think with this activity all the students are going acquiring knowledge about animals.

Hello!
ResponderEliminarMany thanks for your comments.
Ana Yagüe, my intention is children learn some vocabulary so, they only get to learn vocabulary. Apart from that, it´s true it´s a simple activity but children only are seven years old. I have done this activity with younger children and with these ages, and I haven´t got any problem, in fact, they had fun.
Thank you for your comment Ana.
Kind regards,
Silvia
